MUUS Collection is pleased to announce the upcoming solo exhibition Deborah Turbeville: A World of One’s Own at the Galerie Christophe Gaillard in Paris, France. The exhibition focuses on the physicality of Turbeville’s work, which set her apart from her photographic contemporaries through her handwriting, taping, pinning and tearing of the prints. The exhibition is on view from November 9—January 18, 2025.
The exhibition marks a return to France for Turbeville’s work, who spent decades living and working in Paris, and was celebrated with a retrospective at the Centre Pompidou in 1986, but has seldom been exhibited in the country since.
The exhibition will have a public opening on Saturday, November 9, from 4-8 PM, with the gallery displaying additional works at Paris Photo in Booth E35 from November 7-10.
